April Arvidson

Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock and surrounding suburbs

April graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2009 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. She chose to prioritize her role as a mother while raising her five children before returning to occupational therapy in 2021. Her experience gives her a deep understanding of the challenges parents face, particularly with sensory challenges, building emotional regulation skills, and collaborating with parents to strategize support at home.

April works closely with families and participants (aged 3 - 18 years old) to develop skills, adapt environments, and provide tools and aids that support daily occupations such as play, leisure, eating, dressing, and socializing, helping individuals thrive in their everyday lives.
