“It is amazing to reflect on when I started OTM in 2023 and see how far it has come in such a short time. To see all the positive impacts we can have in the lives of those living with disabilities is incredible to see. This would not be possible without the magnificent team members that continue to underpin it and uphold the our values”

Joanne McMillan

Founding Director - Allied Health Assistant & Support Worker

“Hey, I’m Jo.

I am very enthusiastic, passionate and understanding when it comes to supporting my participants. If they tell me to jump, I tend to say “how high?” I truly want the very best for all my participants and I do this by understanding them and their needs so that we can achieve their goals and they can live their lives to their full potential.

Prior to starting OTM, I worked as an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) for 14 years while continuing to complete multiple Certificate IV’s in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Community Rehab and Disability and Support. I also have children and relatives with various degrees of disability which has been fundamental in the development of my skills and approach when caring and supporting individuals living with disability, especially children.

In starting OTM, my only regret is not having done it sooner. It was a daunting thought to step out of my comfort zone but it has been a life-changing experience and I am grateful for the opportunity to have a positive impact in the lives of people living with disabilities while also connecting with other like minded people who share my passion”

Gwyn Pieper

Support Coordinator

“Hi, I'm Gwyn!

I’ve grown up experiencing my own personal hardships and as a result I have always desired to be a safe space for people to be truly & utterly themselves.

I initially started as a support worker with the ambition to make a change and to be the person who makes someone's day that little bit easier and more enjoyable. Which I never truly felt like my employers values fully reflected that of my own until I started here with On The Move.

I breathe my passion for this industry and take the time to foster a genuine connection with my participants so that we can understand each other completely and bring the best out of both of us.

My dedication to understanding and going above & beyond for my participants has resulted in On The Move supporting me in becoming a support coordinator (COS). Having this opportunity to have a positive impact in all of my participant’s journeys is the most rewarding experience and that I am truly grateful for”.

Jane Stubbe

Allied Health Physiotherapist

Hey, I’m Jane.

I’m a Physiotherapist with many years experience assisting patients recovering from injury or pain! During my career I have assisted patients coniditions ranging from acute back and sports injuries to more serious stroke and spinal cord injuries!

In more recent years, I have been exposed to and gradually my involvement with individuals who are living with a disability has become my priority and focus.

I am very empathetic and enthusiastic! Which allows me to connect with and understand my participants. I am then able to get the best out of them by encouraging them to stay motivated and focused on recovery / rehabilitation for the short-term and while also improving their own quality of life for the long-term.

Hey, I’m Cath.

I’m a proud mother of two amazing young adults with ASD, and my family’s experiences with various disabilities have shaped my life in profound ways.

I have grown up with animals and the outdoors, particular horses which include memories I hold dear and will cherish forever. I now share my home with a dog and two cats that fill both my family’s and my days with joy.

With a background in retail and retail management, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with many people, but it wasn’t until I transitioned into support work that I truly found my passion. My only regret is that I wish I had made this career change sooner, as I absolutely love helping others while developing meaningful connections with our participants and supporting them in living their best lives. Which I am truly grateful to be able to pursue this passion every day.

Peanut

Therapy Support Dog

Heya, I'm Peanut!

I'm a busy working girl who thrives on spreading smiles and joy wherever I go. As a proud Corgalier, I’ve mastered the fine art of being both charming and lovable. Snacks are my ultimate weakness—I never say no to a treat (or two)! I’ve been known to indulge my curiosity by occasionally chewing on random objects... all in good fun, of course.

I absolutely adore kids—they bring out the best wiggles and tail wags in me! I also very much enjoy lending a paw and making sure everyone has a reason to smile. As a therapy dog superstar, I use my special skills to comfort, cheer up, and connect with everyone I meet.

When I'm off duty, I love hanging out with friends, chasing little creatures, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. The best part of my world? My wonderful mum, Jo, who makes every day an adventure filled with love and laughter.

Life is pawsitively better with a little Peanut in it!

Casey Skeen

Rostering Coordinator

“Hi there, I’m Casey.

I am a compassionate and creative individual with a heart for kindness and resilience. As an NDIS participant myself, I bring empathy and efficiency to my role as a Rostering Coordinator while leaning on my experience from previous roles to foster meaningful connections while taking on the challenges that come with every new day.

Outside of work, my world revolves around my love for pugs. I volunteer at Pug Rescue Victoria, care for my own furry companions, and actively fundraise to support other wrinkly-faced friends. Creativity is my outlet—I love sewing and painting, often channeling this passion into creating personalized items for fundraising.

Spending time with friends fills me with joy and laughter. Whether I'm scheduling, crafting, or lending a hand to a pug in need, I approach everything with warmth and compassion, committed to spreading kindness and building understanding.
